About Me
My name is Mary Beth Hinton, a licensed therapist offering completely virtual individual therapy and clinical supervision for adults all across North Carolina.
I specialize in providing support for individuals who may be experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, or postpartum depression. I have extensive training in perinatal mental health and I have a passion for supporting women during pregnancy and postpartum.
My number one goal is to create a safe and understanding environment where you can explore your feelings and gain effective tools and coping strategies.
My Background
I received both my Bachelor’s in Rehabilitation Services and my Master’s in Clinical Counseling from East Carolina University.
(Go Pirates!)
I have worked in a variety of settings, which has allowed me to gain invaluable experience. I have spent time working in both inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment, acute inpatient treatment in a hospital setting, and community-based mental health services. Since beginning in private practice in 2021, I have enjoyed working alongside individuals to achieve their goals and to support their healing.
Why Me?
I strive to create a space that focuses on your unique experiences, and that fosters a strong, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship.
I believe that you are the expert in your own life and together, we will develop a treatment plan that is specifically designed to address your unique needs and goals.
I value your growth and healing being at the heart of our work together. My mission as your therapist is for you to gain tools in order to live a more fulfilled life.
